Biography: 

Professional Experience: 

Tim Haab joined the faculty of the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics in 2000 and has served as Chair of the department since 2010.  Dr. Haab’s research and teaching focus on environmental economics and applied econometrics. Recently, Dr. Haab has applied his expertise in methods for valuing environmental goods and services to the BP/Deepwater Horizon oil spill, retail gasoline markets, biofuels, recreational fishing, locating offshore windfarms, and payments for ecosystem services in Central America.   A Ph.D. graduate from the University of Maryland in 1995, Dr. Haab joined Ohio State after spending five years on the faculty at East Carolina University.
